American Express Corporate Travel Angie Bordaen – Direct marketing coordinator American Express Corporate Travel: The final outcome of a joint venture with BBL Travel, American Express Corporate Travel is one of the major players in the business travel Industry in Belgium and Luxemburg. We employ over 350 people and we offer such services as travel management, reservations and consultancy, trade fair travel, events and incentives and much more. Our clients range from extremely large multinationals to very small SME-companies. Objectives and solutions: The objectives of Amex were twofold: enhance the usability of our website and implement a reliable and easy emailing-tool. Our website is used daily by clients in the BeLux as a travel tool and a point of reference. This meant we needed a tool to be able to quickly and accurately update certain sections on our site 24/7. The EmailGarage DCM tool gives us just that. Reliability, accuracy and 24/7 access from anywhere in the world. As an extra service to our clients, Amex BeLux actively monitors world events 24/7 and – in case of any crisis or issue that might affect our clients' travel plans - we immediately send out flash warnings to a mailing list of subscribers. That, again, required a tool that allowed us easy, immediate access to our mailing list. We found that in the EmailGarage tool. It allows us to create and send customized messages on the fly, and it also has the extra benefit of giving us access to statistics about the reception/usages/click-through rates, etc. of the mails we sent out. This, for us, is an invaluable way to track how clients receive our messages and how they respond to them. The Amex-verdict: The implementation of the DCM and Broadcaster not only did the job for us. It also gave us a much wider perspective of opportunities which were available to us, in using these tools to the max. And at all times, EmailGarage staff is available to explain alternatives and opportunities. Before we chose EmailGarage, we shopped around actively and tried out several other suppliers and tools.
